The show has 100 people who cook, divided into two teams. The white team has famous chefs, and the black team has cooks who are not as well known, like people who own local restaurants. They compete in cooking challenges, and the judges are famous chefs, Paik Jong-won and Ahn Sung-jae.
Since the first episode on September 17, “Culinary Class Wars” has become very popular. It has been number one on Netflix’s list of non-English TV shows for two weeks. The show is so popular that the chefs’ restaurants are getting a lot more customers, and people are sharing funny pictures of the contestants and judges online. Even stores are selling food inspired by the show.
